Marriage- it’s not just a private matter.
Back in April I had the privilege of speaking at a conference at Moody College in Chicago. I have been three times to Chicago so far this year and love it more each time I visit. Jim is one of those guys with a huge heart for people and marriage. When you talk with him you see the passion bubbling in his eyes. The fact is Jim gets it when it comes to marriage. that marriage is foundational to everything. He has learned that when marriages fail, so do lives, so do kids, so does culture and so does the church. Jim has put his life not only into his own marriage but the mission to help marriages last and thrive all over the world, Jim does this through his website Growthtrac and by being involved in his local church and community. He really does see the whole picture that marriage is not just about us, it’s not just a “private thing” between a man and a woman. Marriage- mine, yours and theirs affects everybody and everything. Research shows time after time that Marriage impacts almost every facet of life and society. It’s worth being passionate about. We need more Jim Mueller’s in the world.
Let me challenge you by asking what is one thing you can do to strengthen your marriage this week? What is one simple thing you can do help encourage somebody else’s marriage?
